Many of us care about what happens in our community, but don’t have the time to participate in person. This site allows residents to review and give input without needing to attend public hearings or public meetings.

The Springfield Planning Commission usually meets twice a month and makes land use decisions. It provides recommendations to City Council on legislative matters involving comprehensive planning and development code regulations. It also serves as the Committee for Citizen Involvement (CCI). The seven member volunteer Commission is appointed by the City Council.
The Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee provides input on bicycle and pedestrian policies, infrastructure, programs, education and enforcement. The Committee meets every two months and advises the City Council and city staff on matters relating to pedestrian and bicycle planning.
The Historic Commission meets monthly to advance the identification, protection, preservation, education, and interpretation of Springfield's cultural heritage and history. As such, the Commission organizes projects and programs to encourage stewardship of the community's historic assets. The Commission also reviews development and restoration requests for all properties within the Washburne Historic District and for all properties on Springfield's Landmark Inventory.
The Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC) provides recommendations to the City Council on the best use of the City's allotment of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) funds. These funds support housing programs, social services, affordable rental and home ownership housing development, neighborhood revitalization activities, parks and street construction, and downtown redevelopment. Projects funded must address the priority needs identified in the Eugene-Springfield five-year Consolidated Plan, and serve primarily low and moderate-income residents of the City. The committee meets two to four times a year.
